EDARCH has plans to establish maximum possible number of ancillary units of disabled persons in industrial products and rehabilitate them as Entrepreneurs on co-operative basis by developing a world wide network.

A survey conducted by Shri Dilip Deshpande, an Industrial Safety Consultant of Pune (India) reveals that the disabled persons are invariably rehabilitated in isolation. The jobs and the nature of work offered to them has no relevance to the work they learn in their parent organisations. This situation creates a vital impact on the psychology of disabled persons as they are unable to perform the assigned jobs and are helpless to communicate with the normal persons / workers surrounding them due to their lacunae. This results in loss of confidence which they gain during training in their institutes and hence develop a feeling of insecurity and inferiority complex.

It is observed that, after rehabilitation, when a disabled person is put on a job initially he receives sympathy, full support and co-operation from the surrounding persons but the sympathy does not last for long. The disabled person can neither perform the job nor communicate with the surrounding people to learn the job, as the time passes surrounding people start targeting and teasing him, which leads to frustration resulting in his violent reaction and thus losing the job. This makes him adamant and then he refuses to take up any other job or agree to any other form of rehabilitation.

In order to remove these lacunae of the present system, Shri Dilip Deshpande and Mrs. Rajani Savkar, a social worker who is devoted in the field of rehabilitation and has a wide experience over 15 years in educating and integrating the disabled persons in the mainstream of society, came together and along with other philanthropists of society established a trust by name EDARCH -"Entrepreneurship Development And Rehabilitation Center for the Handicapped " in Pune- India.
