An award of a meager contract by a private party in the year 1973 to build fencing for a bungalow at a cost of Rs. 3000 sounded the beginnning of the potential and diversified Renuka Group which, today, is comprised of four major companies with a gross turnover of Rs. 80 million. The shrewd, dynamic Mohan B. Chitale commands a key position as the head of the group with the track record of overwhelming success during last decade's operation of the parent company - Renuka Construction Company.

During the last couple of years, the group has diversified from civil construction contracting to manufacturing fo specialised ducts, import and export trading, agency lines and consultation services, employing manpower fo about 200 people. The group has recently finalised a colloboration and joint venture arrangement with a reputed British Company to manufacture in India various GRG, GRC and GRP products required in the civil construction fields.
