Samarth Subscription Agency was established in 1954 by smt Kumidini Parashuram pratinidhi and it was Mr. S.V. Pant @ Parashuram Vithalrao Pant Pratinidhi who nurtured this shop and brought to the level of respectability in Pune. Mr. S.V. Pant initially started a circulating library and as such the name Samarth Subscription Agency was given to this establishment. Lateron Samarth Agency became an importer of books and during tedious and hard period of importer of books and during tedious and hard period of import licenses relations with various foreign publishers. Samarth started accepting orders from various customers mainly institutions and with meticulous efforts books used to be supplied by importing them from abroad. Number of books used to receive on sale or return basis and we used to send these books for perusal and selection to various libraries. That was a period before internet ane e-mail. Computer was a rare commodity and personal computers were to be introduced.
Now the time has changed information has become a very important factor in day-to-day life. Samarth Subscription Agency has changed its stance and we now procure books for any customer for any individual and try to supply the books of very competitive rates.
