The SHAH GRANITES GROUP was founded in 1964 with one guiding principle: to achieve the maximum in quality and cost efficiency, by using in-house technologies created for the capacities required and the conditions prevailing.
The Group has remained in the forefront of the Indian granite and marble industry every since and has continuously expanded its horizons, establishing many milestones in the process.
Making a definitive entry into the granite trade in 1976
Pioneering the manufacture of stone processing machinery from 1978
Manufacturing quality diamond tools from 1980
Undertaking the export of monumental and building granite from 1981.
Acquisition of marble quarries in 1982.
Given the range of activities and the in-depth involvement in this field, the group felt that the knowledge and experience at their disposal could be put to good use by the industry in general; hence a non-profit “Research Foundation” was set up in 1984, which is completely devoted to collection and dissemination of information on the Indian stone industry.
Shah granites group is a global exporter having established markets in South East Asia, USA, UK, Ireland, Israel and some European countries, that contribute to 95% of the export markets.
The Group is committed to all aspects of the natural stone industry, though its technical and financial expertise could have been turned to non-stone diversification. The vast range of products offered by the Group cover virtually the entire spectrum.
