The Salwar Kameez is one of the most comfortable and fashionable women's apparel to be found in India. The salwar is a loosely worn pyjama-like drawstring trouser tapering to a quilted cuff at the bottom, and the kameez is a long, loose tunic falling to about mid-calf. A churidar is similar to the salwar but is tighter at the hips, thighs and ankles. A dupatta is a huge scarf or shawl worn across the shoulders. The Kaftan too is extremely comfortable, and is a long flowing gown-line dress reaching the ankles. The Salwar-Kameez-Dupatta are worn together as a high fashion ensemble and are available in an exotic selection of traditionally embroidered, plain and printed fabrics, at reasonable rates. The variety of fabrics used to produce Salwar-Kameez and Kaftans at Sona includes handloom cottons, lizybizy and tussar silk, crepe and dupion silk. The company provides its customers with custom tailoring options which allow the customers to specify the colors, fabrics, size, style and the fit.
