I U.M. Jhaveri have passed my SSC examination from SSC Board in the year 1969. I thereafter joined KC College, Churchgate, Bombay for my graduation. While doing my first graduation, i have joined a private firm known as M/S Manilal Maganlal and Co. I rendered my services there during my graduation.
I have cleared my BA Examination with Economics and Statistics from KC college, Church Gate, Bombay in the year 1974.
I have cleared my LLB examination from Government Law College, Church Gate, Bombay in the year 1978.
I have cleared my LLM part I examination with group VII (commercial) from department of law university, Bombay in the year 1984.
Immediately after my LLB graduation, i got enrolled as an advocate with Maharashtra bar Council on 24th September 1979.
After that I enrolled myself as an advocate. I have left the job of M/S Manilal Maganlal and Co. At the time of leaving the said firm i was working as administrative executive.
In the year 1981, i joined the solicitors firm M/S Chitnis Vaithy and Co, Advocates and Solicitors, and signed articles with Mr. S.D.Chitnis, solicitor to enable me to appear in the solicitors examination. since then and in association with them i am practicing mainly on the original side and appellate side at Bombay High court and in the city civil court at Bombay.
I cleared my solicitors examination in March 1993.
During my association with M/S. Chitnis Vaithy and Co., I was also retainer of M/S Parekh Market Premises Cooperative Society Ltd., in the year 1987 and the same was left in the year 1988, since the society have many litigation in the cooperative court which was not convenient to my other work of city civil court and high court. I am also legal advisor/retainer of M/S. MMC Pvt Ltd at JSS Road, Bomaby and a partnerhsip firm M/S Platinum Research and Aid unit Bombay. During my tenure with M/S. Chitnis Vaithy and Co. i have attended the matters of incorporated clients like kirloskar Cummins Ltd, Pfizer India Ltd., Thane Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, Indian Express Group Publishers, many financial institutions, and various builders matters.
I left M/S Chitnis Vaithy and Co and started my independent practice from 1st July, 1997 for better prospect. I am on the panel of Gujarat State Finance Corporation, Maharashtra State Finance Corporation. My work mainly consist of drafting documents, such as agreement for sale, deed of conveyance, lease deed, mortgage deeds etc. The pleading work including drafting of plaint, written statement, interim applications, writs etc. My work includes briefing councils and discussing matters and law points as involved in the matters. My work also includes giving legal opinions to the queries arisen by my clients.
